Idiopathic scoliosis develops gradually and — as the term “idiopathic” indicates — without any identifiable cause. It leads to a three-dimensionally curved spine, accompanied by a rotation of the vertebrae, misalignments of the shoulders, rib cage, and pelvis, as well as unnatural movement patterns.
