Serial casting orthosis
Custom-made thigh dynamic orthoses made from plastic or carbon for contractures in the upper ankle joint, postoperative treatment after surgeries in the ankle joint, or for tendon shortening.
MMC orthosis
This walking device is custom-made based on a plaster cast and technically consists of two thigh orthoses connected with a pelvic/trunk component. Together with the desired walking function—enabled by the attached hip joints—knee and/or ankle joints can be equipped with various joint types to facilitate a smooth forward motion.
Depending on skin tolerance and design preferences, different padding options and materials can be used in the fabrication process.
This type of orthosis is typically used for muscular disorders in children and adults, such as spina bifida, poliomyelitis, or spinal muscular atrophy. It provides valuable support to promote or maintain the ability to walk.
